1) The mind wonders, where the opportune moment has gone

The mind wonders, where the opportune moment has gone…2
With this unique body I’ve attained,
I follow the footsteps of Hari.
The mind wonders, where the opportune moment has gone…2
The earliest kings had a thousand arms and ten bodies.
Even the powerful Lord Yama (god of death) was overcome…2
If the wealth and home is maintained with pride and arrogance,
In the end all is empty and a void is created.
The mind wonders, where the opportune moment has gone…2
The son, his children and wife,
all the relations become meaningful only
when there is compassion in that relationship.
Compassion in the relationship.
Friends can destroy you and well-wishers can turn wicked.
But you never abandon us.
The mind wonders, where the opportune moment has gone…2
Now only the lord will awaken us with love and affection
and make us renounce the evil eyed demon
Now only the Lord…
The fire of craving burns, says Goddess Tulsi.
Let not love diminish.
It is not wise to give in to a lot of sensual pleasures
The mind wonders, where the opportune moment has gone.
The mind wonders, where the opportune moment has gone.
With this unique body I’ve attained,
I follow the footsteps of Hari.
The mind wonders, where the opportune moment has gone.
The mind wonders, where the opportune moment has gone.

 border designcol2small

Oh Lord, help me overcome the faults of my soul.
The faults of my soul, Oh Lord.
The faults in my soul.
I proudly take your name…2
If it be your will, only then can I attain salvation.
Oh Lord, help me overcome the faults of my soul.
The faults of my soul, Oh Lord.

There is a saying about a river and a woman:
She had been filling unclean water…2
And when the twain mingled…2
God cleared it and it became one with the river.
Oh Lord, help me overcome the faults of my soul.
The faults of my soul, Oh Lord.
The puja is so strong…2
That even a killer’s home is blessed.
A home……….
The essence of uncertainty is not known…2
Enlighten and bring prosperity Oh lord…
Oh Lord, help me overcome the faults of my soul.
The faults in my soul, Oh Lord.

There is a saying of a living being and a supreme spirit.
The ignorant and the learned were both in despair.
The saying of a living being and a supreme spirit.
This time lead me into salvation…2
Let not your promise go asunder.

Oh Lord, help me overcome the faults of my soul
The faults of my soul, Oh Lord
Your name signifies fairness and detachment…2
If it be your will only then can I attain salvation
Oh Lord help me overcome the faults of my soul.
The faults of my soul, Oh Lord.

My being finds comfort and pleasure at the feet of Ram….
Pleasure at the feet of Ram….
My being finds comfort and pleasure at the feet of Ram….
From whose feet comes forth the Ganga…2
Which is held in Shiva’s hair.
Jatha Shankar is the name that completes you.
The saviour and liberator of the three worlds.

My being finds comfort and pleasure at the feet of Ram….2
The feet adorned with wooden slippers.
Which Bharat brought to you with great affection.
He even washed the feet of the boatman.
Who only then rowed his boat.

My being finds comfort and pleasure at the feet of Ram….2
With worship at the feet of venerable saints…2
You will attain solace and pleasure…2
Worship at the feet of Gautam Rishi…2
You will attain the highest enlightenment.

My being finds comfort and pleasure at the feet of Ram….2
Purify our souls with your staff, Oh Lord, …2
The sages chased away all our fears
Lord almighty God of all three worlds
Oh lord………………
Pay penitence Ravana for posing as a deer.
My being finds comfort and pleasure at the feet of Ram….2
My being…………….
Hanuman and his brother Sugriv are both troubled…2
In this situation, victory is painful.
Vibhishan, the brother of the enemy, (Ravana’s brother)
the demon who ruled over Lanka.

My being finds comfort and pleasure at the feet of Ram….2
Shiva is whimsical as well as the Supreme being.
Shesh Nag balances the world on his 1000 heads.
Tulsi Das the offspring of the wind,
Worships at the feet of Ram.
Sings the story of Ram, worships at his feet.

Where can I go to from my place at your feet?
Where can I go to from my place at your feet?
Your very name purifies and uplifts the oppressed of this world.
Your very name purifies and uplifts the oppressed of this world.
The very poor and destitute are dear to you.
Where can I go to from my place at your feet?
Where can I go to from my place at your feet?

My prosperity lies in the greatness of which divine being?
He is known for his greatness everywhere.
The bird, deer, leopard, tree root…root.
The bird, deer, leopard, tree root…root.
Which god will give them salvation?
Where can I go to from my place at your feet
Where can I go to from my place at your feet?

God, demon, sage, snake, man, all,
are but illusions and helpless ideas.
Your hands, lord Tulsi Das, provide relief to the thirsty..
Where can I go to from my place at your feet?

Your very name purifies and uplifts the oppressed of this world.
Your very name purifies and uplifts the oppressed of this world.
The very poor and destitute are dear to you.

Where can I go to from my place at your feet?

Your feet, your feet, your feet, your feet.
Where can I go to from my place at your feet?
Where can I go to from my place at your feet?

Without the name of Hari life is meaningless.

A well without water, a cow without a calf.
A well without water, a cow without a calf.
The temple without the burning lamp aah.

Like a barren and fruitless tree.
Like a barren and fruitless tree.
Such are those men who do not utter the name of Hari.
Without the name of Hari life is meaningless.
Without the name of Hari life is meaningless.
Chant his name.

Face without eyes, the night without the moon
Face without eyes, the night without the moon
The earth without rain clouds aaaaah.
Like a priest without his Vedic prayers.
Such are those men who do not utter the name of Hari.

My mind goes to the banks of the Ganga and Yamuna…5
The clear pure waters of the Ganga and Yamuna…2
Which calm the whole body.
My mind goes to the banks of the Ganga and Yamuna …2
The cowherds and children are all grazing the cattle…2
Along with the most powerful Krishna

My mind goes to the banks of the Ganga and Yamuna …3
With peacock crown and ochre garments,
Ochre garments and peacock crown.
And in the ear shine sparkling gems.
My mind wanders to the ears with sparkling gems…2

My mind goes to the banks of the Ganga and Yamuna …3
Oh Giridhar, in whom Meera dwells.
Oh Meera’s lord...
Oh Giridhar, in whom Meera dwells.
Oh Giridhar, Oh Giridhar,
O Meera’s lord…
Obeisance at your lotus-like feet.

Go my mind to the banks of the Ganga and Yamuna …2
The clear pure waters of the Ganga and Yamuna. 2
Which calm the whole body.
Go my mind to the banks of the Ganga and Yamuna …2
Ganga Yamuna, Ganga Yamuna
Ganga Yamuna banks...

7) Oh Gopal, now I will dance with abandon
download
 border designcol2small

Oh Gopal, now I will dance with abandon.
Oh Gopal, now I will dance with abandon.
I will not wear upon me any craving or anger.
My voice rises high with sensual pleasure.
Oh Gopal now I shall dance with abandon.

Like the fascinating tinkling of the anklets,
Like the fascinating tinkling of the anklets,
This is though denounced by all,
Like the fascinating tinkling of the anklets.
This is though denounced by all,
The mind filled with illusion is like an offbeat drum,
Suspicion……………
which proves a bad companion.

Oh Gopal, now I will dance with abandon.
Desire and craving are like thesounds of an empty pitcher.
These are the diverse demons in us.
Capture the illusion and tie it around like a waist cloth.
Greed is visible like a Tilak on the forehead.
Oh Gopal, now I will dance with abandon.

The good is sometimes seen as the bad.
The good is sometimes seen as the bad.
Running water goes into the lake and becomes still,
it does not make sense.
The ignorance and the false knowledge of Surdas.
Remove it, Oh Nandlal, remove it.
Oh Gopal, now I will dance with abandon.
Oh Gopal, now I will dance with abandon.
Will keep on dancing Gopal.
Will keep on dancing Gopal.

Jhini, oh Jhini, the sheet was woven with the love of Ram.
Jhini oh Jhini: with the name of Ram, the sheet was woven
The threads go one way and then the other.
Where did they come from?
The threads are woven like the veins and nerves in the body.
The threads are woven like the veins and nerves in the body.
The sheet was woven with beautiful thread.
Jhini, oh Jhini.
The sheet is ingrained with the name of Ram.
Jhini, oh Jhini…

The eight-mouthed frame of the spinning wheel rocks,..2
It spins the benefit of the five elements
The lord took ten months to weave it…2
Stroke by stroke he wove the sheet
Jhini, oh Jhini, the sheet has been woven with the love of Ram
Jhini o Jhini

That sheet was worn by God and the sages.
When man wore it, it was dishonoured…
That sheet was worn by God and the sages
When man wore it,it was dishonoured …

Your devotee Kabir wore it assiduously…3
He wore the sheet with difficulty.
Jhini, oh Jhini, the sheet was woven with the love of Ram.
Jhini, oh Jhini.

When Janaki Nath is beside you to help…2
Who can cause you harm, oh man?
Sun, Mars, the Moon, Saturn guide you
Mercury and Venus protect you
The demons Rahu and Ketu (Asteroids) cannot approach you
Rahu and Ketu...
As the planet Saturn is along with them

When Janaki Nath is beside you to help…2
Who can cause you harm, oh man?
Janak’s daughter (Janaki)….

The vicious Dusashan, the flawless Draupadi…2
Your power did not let him ravish her…2
You helped with your compassion…2
The dark incident of the stripping
of Janaki, was unsuccessful because of your help
When Janaki Nath (Krishna) is beside to help
Who can cause you harm, oh man?
Janak’s daughter (Janaki)………………..

You kept King Prikshit in the dungeons…2
When Ashwathama caused destruction…2
All around the dry land of Bharat and fertile land of Braj…2
When Janaki Nath (Krishna) is beside you to help,
Who can cause you harm, oh man.
You always help with your benevolence…2

Therefore your name is taken increasingly in this world.
The whole world………………….
The descendants of Raghu (Ram) are all blessed with happiness.
Tulsi Das worships at your feet.
Helper of Janaki.
